A Jewish boy dreams of the day he will turn thirteen, when he will finally be considered a man and have the privilege of donning tefillin every day.But what about the families who cannot afford tefillin, who are hard-pressed to provide the barest necessities for their children? Their sons live with the constant shame of having to borrow someone else's tefillin on a daily basis to fulfill their obligation.
